On September 8, 2025, Dr. Sarah Gosper Maree – Deputy Director, Global Immersion Guarantee Program, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Monash University (Australia), visited and worked with the Mekong Institute, Can Tho University. During the visit, the two sides discussed and reached an agreement on a cooperation mechanism for developing academic programs for international students, as well as explored directions for strengthening their strategic partnership in education and research.

The discussion focused on jointly developing high-quality training programs that meet the demands of international integration; implementing student exchange activities between the two universities to provide students with opportunities to experience a multicultural learning environment, enhance their academic capacity, and develop global skills. Both sides also emphasized the importance of promoting scholar exchange, joint research, and the development of collaborative projects in higher education.

📍 The meeting opened up new opportunities for cooperation, contributing to enhancing the international reputation of Can Tho University in general and the Mekong Institute in particular, while further strengthening the partnership with Monash University in training, research, and the development of high-quality human resources for the region and the world.
