As part of the visit by representatives from Soon Chun Hyang University (SCHU), Republic of Korea, to the Mekong Institute at Can Tho University, the Institute’s leadership and staff engaged in an in-depth discussion focused on advancing joint programs, projects, and activities to further deepen the partnership between the two universities.
During the meeting, the Mekong Institute leadership shared SCHU representatives its development strategy, vision–mission, core values, and main functions, along with specific collaborations already underway with Korean partners. The Institute also introduced ongoing initiatives at the Mekong Cultural Space, which was formerly home to SCHU’s representative office at Can Tho University.
The SCHU delegation expressed strong support for the Mekong Institute’s strategic directions and reaffirmed its commitment to being a trusted long-term partner. Both sides agreed to continue co-developing proposals for upcoming collaborative initiatives, building upon past achievements and contributing to sustainable academic and cultural cooperation between Korea and the Greater Mekong Subregion.
