In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung emphasized the importance of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in urban planning and climate-resilient infrastructure development, aiming toward sustainable growth and climate change adaptation.
During the meeting, suitable NbS options for Campus II were introduced, followed by group discussions to identify potential locations and evaluate key criteria for developing an action plan to implement NbS across university facilities.
Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Mekong Institute, presented the Institute’s development orientation following the model of “Innovation Park – Training Hub – Demonstration Site”, which aims to build an integrated ecosystem connecting research – technology transfer – education and to promote NbS applications throughout the University.
