On November 14, 2025, within the UNESCO Water Challenge 2025 Immersion Day and the Youth Climate Action Week 2025 in Hanoi, researcher Tran Nguyen Hoang Long was honored to be selected by UNESCO as a young speaker for the Youth Dialogue session: “From Ideas to Actions.”
The event was organized to commemorate the 60th anniversary of UNESCO's Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) and the 50th anniversary of UNESCO’s Water Science Program, aiming to promote youth-led innovation addressing global water and climate challenges.
The Youth Dialogue was designed as a space where young ideas meet opportunity — where speakers, experts, researchers, and policymakers exchange perspectives to co-create sustainable water solutions. It also served as a follow-up activity to the UNESCO Water Challenge for Young Innovators 2025, themed “Innovation for Water – Action for the Future”, emphasizing the vital role of youth in water innovation and sustainable development.
The dialogue featured invited experts and speakers, including:
Alongside the dialogue, the Immersion Day also included presentations from the Top 3 initiatives of the UNESCO Water Challenge and the “Sustainability for Future” Exhibition, offering a comprehensive picture of youth-driven innovations in water resources, environmental protection, and climate adaptation. The event stands as a testament to the pioneering spirit of Vietnamese youth — those who are actively shaping a greener and more sustainable future for their communities.
